Student story creation

Based on the field trip experiences, presentations the characters they created, the students began crafting their stories. The students demonstrated a sample story to showcase how the structure of their story could work.

Utilizing a 9 square storyboard the students were to incorporate the following elements in their short story.

1. Where? (the scene, setting, place?)
2. Who? (main characters?)
3. What? (Action)
4. New element: something happens (Action). Suddenly we have a problem: a
change/ a secret is revealed.
5. How? How do you solve it?) A very clear ending

Finally: Why are you telling this story? What lesson or wisdom can it offer related to preparedness and resilience.
